Disc golf resort in Telemark Wisconsin

This resort is a great place to go for a family vacation, or with another couple. The disc golf course is a championship quality 24 holes of challenging fun. There are many things to do here other than disc golf, which makes it a good place to go for a weekend or a weeks vacation. Your spouse and kids will also enjoy Telelmark even if they don’t like to disc golf.

Vacation resort Location

Telemark is located in Cable Wisconsin. About 230 miles from the Twin cities. About 500 mi. from Chicago. If you have a plane, there is a runway right in front of the resort, so you can fly your private plane almost to the door.

Telemark update

The resort has been sold and reopened under new management. I have emailed to see if they will be reopening the disc golf course in the summers. I received an answer back from the owners at Telemark and they say the course will be open and running in the summers as it was before. It is a very good course and worth the time to play it.

The course is challenging and fun. It is built on the ski hill at Telemark. The way this course is designed is unique in that you don’t really feel like you are playing a ski hill course. If you have played other ski resort courses, you know that they can be very tiring. The up and down on the steep hills is exhausting. Tim Gill used the terrain very well in designing this course, to get the most out of it, without exhausting the players. Many of the holes are on the bottom and top of the hill, several go across the mountain. It allows you to play without the fatigue. I personally played this course last summer, It is one of my favorite courses.

The course is 24 holes, with a variety of length and elevation. Hole #1 starts you off with something you will not likely ever see anywhere else. You tee off over a slab of cement that is about 300 ft across, and it’s O.B., very unique. The length of the course is around 9500 feet, par 78. It is pay to play, $5. Read Reviews See course map.

Telemark offers many things to do. They have 3 mountain bike trails, 2.2mi. 6.7mi., and 9.9mi. with hundreds of miles of other marked trails nearby. Trek mountain. Bikes for rent at resort. Road biking also available with several mapped road loops from 7 to 50 miles. They have access to ATV trails directly from the property, maps for trails available at the resort. There is boating and fishing close by on Namakogon lake and the Namakogon river. You can even canoe the river all the way to the St. Croix river, about 75 miles. Telemark has a championship golf course on the property, with 10 other golf courses with 25 miles. There is also a mini golf course on the resort. Indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, and high speed internet. Full bar and restaurant on site. Sauna, whirlpool, basketball, and horseshoes. Also all winter sports, skiing, sliding, skating, and snowboarding. Disc golf is not open in the winter.

You can take a vacation here, for a weekend or a week. Bring your family or another couple. Everyone will have a good time, even if they don’t play disc golf.
